Midweek Mens Results – from Peter Larkin
Monday- 25th Oct. Briar Steer Trophy Combined Stableford- Yellow Tees.
This is a stableford event organised and run by the MWL’s combined with the MWM. After a ‘stormy’ night (what rain!) we were greed with a fine morning and good conditions for golf. Thanks to Janet O’Brien and the MWL’s committee for the work that goes into these events. It’s unfortunate that despite arranging a draw for the event, some didn’t turn up, resulting in a bit of rejigging with eventually getting sorted. A great day thank you Ladies, it was nice to have some different golfers to chat to!
Results: Refer MWL’s for the Briar Steer Combined Stableford Comp.
Thursday- 27th Oct. Stableford.
Only 23 starters this morning conditions which were a little ‘cool’ and threatening rain! The golf course was looking great (again) with the green keeping staff active on various areas of the course. Thank you for your good work.
Despite the weather conditions, there were some good scores recorded.

Blow Down Area Update and Sand Bucket Stands
A few members have asked about an update for the new Blow Down Area for the club.
I can inform you all that the revised design is now out for tender, and we are expecting responses in the coming weeks. Only then will we know the timeline for it to be completed. I understand this has been a long time coming, so we will have it installed as soon as we can.
I would like to thank those who have donated their time, support and money for this project so far. We are still looking for anyone else who may be able to contribute to this project. Please contact one of the board members or myself if you wish to support this project.
New Sponsor
I am happy to announce we have a new club Sponsor – BBQs Direct. I would like to welcome Alan and his team to the club and we look forward to working with them over the next three years.
We will have more updates as the summer approaches with member only deals and specials. In the meantime, please support all our sponsors and make your self-known that you are from the Harewood Golf Club.
NZ National Police Golf Competition
Please remember that the Course is closed from Sunday through to Wednesday this week. The Driving range will still be open to all users.
