Welcome to 2024 and another year of golf at Harewood. The Match Committee wishes you a Happy New Year and hope you reach your golfing goals for the year.
Over the Christmas period the Summer Cup takes place and the ladies finished last weekend with the best 4 of 6 rounds counting. The men have one more round left with the best 3 of 5 counting for them. The final results of the ladies are below along with round 4 for the men. The overall men’s competition is looking very close at the finish line with Tim Wenmoth only 2 stableford points ahead of Mark Duggan who is then only 1 point ahead of Sam McCarroll.
Interclub news
The men’s Metro A & B along with the Presidents interclub teams are all back on again so keep an eye out for how they are progressing. The women’s 18-hole Silver interclub team are also starting this weekend with the Weekend women’s zoned interclub teams are starting in February, so there is a lot of competition golf happening with Harewood teams at the moment.
The latest programme for the year is out and available at the Pro Shop, so grab a copy and stay ahead of what is coming up, as well as keeping an eye out here at Woodlands Word.
This weekend’s competitions are Round 5 (final round) Summer Cup for the men and Stableford white or yellow tee option for the women.

Due to the low numbers, we have decided not to organise a Twilight Season this Summer. I would like to thank the members who have continuously supported this in the past. We will take the next few months to review our Twilight season and look to introduce something new at the end of the year.
