General Manager - Richard Attwood
Clubhouse and Course Development
April 8 marks a key milestone to the development of the club this month, not only are we very close to completing the outside of the clubhouse, April 8 also indicates the start of our other developments.
- Monday 8 April – HAREWOOD COURSE WILL BE CLOSED - Harewood Golf clubhouse, course and driving range will be CLOSED for everyone. We will reopen on Tuesday 9th April.
- Wood’n’Tree will be back to complete the next round of course development and will be removing trees for the next 3 weeks. Please ensure you read the board outside the Pro Shop indicating which holes will be closed on the day. The team will be updating the board as activity changes around the course. The entire course will be open on the weekends.
- We will also have another crew on site moving fill and dirt onto holes 4, 5, 9, 13. This work is to complete the mounding required to finish those holes and ready for seeding.
- Finally, we will also have crews starting work on the kitchen. Due to this work the G&T Team will be using the smaller kitchen beside the bar – This will be the first time a lot of our members will have seen these doors open, so come and visit the team. There will be some changes to the menu during this period of time, so please be patient as they will be working in a much smaller kitchen.
We are expecting all this work to be finished by the start of May. Each week we will be updating you all on further developments.
Thank you all for your support and understanding whilst the team work on these exciting developments.
Club Update – Doug Claridge
Easter shotgun had a good field with the added entertainment of the F16 jets taking off and lighting the afterburners in their way down to Warbirds over Wanaka. The weather gods left us low cloud over and no sun like the rest of easter, but that did not stop good scoring. This weekend it is a stroke round for the men ad ladies; Monthly medal off the blues for the men and a LGU for the Ladies. Please remember it is a stroke round, so if your tee shot is astray into the rough, hit a provisional to keep the field flowing, so you don’t have to come back to the tee if you can’ t find it . It is a full field on the booking sheets.
Next weekend the quarter finals for the men Harewood 4BBB are scheduled, with the semifinals for men and ladies scheduled for the 11/5 and final for both on the 18/5
