For those who may have missed early communication the Clubs AGM is on this Thursday at 7pm. The bar and kitchen will be open from 6:00pm if you require a refreshment beforehand.
Please turn up early so that we can start on time.
There will be updates on the clubhouse, course plans and the strategy moving forward.
Volunteer Day
There will be a gardening day on Wednesday 17 July at 9:30am. Please bring a rake as there will be a focus on cleaning up the last of the pinecones between holes 9&10 and 7&8. Thank you for organising this Julie Jones.

Club Captain Update – Phil Barlow
Everyone welcomed the sun last Saturday after what felt like a never-ending week of rain. The course held up well and the greens were running as we have begun to expect during winter months, nicely. The women’s yellow tees didn’t look too chopped up from what I saw with the men’s monthly medal using them for the day. Many men also found out that when you take a big hit on your handicap, the yellow tees aren’t that easy!
We are still getting great feedback about having the cart out on-course for a while to provide warm and cold food and drinks. Remember this will happen while it is supported, so thanks for doing so.
The men’s interclub prospects for the 3 senior teams are now underway with their trials under Terry Colemans eagle eye, so we hope to have 3 strong teams ready to go at the start of August when it all kicks off for the season. Also for the men is the semi-finals of the BCHP Matchplay this weekend. Good luck to all on your quest to reach the finals.
The men’s qualifying rounds for club champs are only a few short weeks away, so check out the dates in the programme, as you will need to nominate the 2 of 3 qualifying days that you wish to play. Remember that if the course is open, you are expected to play on your nominated days. Please check the dates of match play to ensure your availability to reduce defaults should you qualify.
This weekend’s club competitions are: Men - BCHP semi-final, others 4BBB Stableford. Women: Canadian Foursomes.

Pro Tip by Craig Mitchell
Next time you’re watching the golf on TV, I want you to watch what the Pros do that you don’t before you start the swing, and it’s the same for the long and short game.
They stare at the target and glance at the ball. Club golfers stare at the ball then glance at the target.
So, think of the eight to be great.

July 11th, Bisque Par:
A format that is always a challenge to the lower handicap players, and so it proved yet again! No surprises as to who the victor was but in fairness, he did play to his handicap.
